Hello friends! There’s crispness in the air and it smells sweetly of fall! I’ve got my cup of cider from the local apple cider mill, my laptop open with something other than parent emails and lesson plans (whohoo!), and I’m thinking life is good! School still hasn’t let up for me but for the first time in weeks I’m able to use some of my weekend to do things other than school-prep! I’m loving that! It’s a totally casual teacher outfit day!
This week’s outfit goes along with my casual theme today. I think lovingly of the days when I could wear skinny jeans and a blazer to work every day but at my new school jeans are Friday-only apparel. So, it’s taken me awhile to feature this casual teacher outfit but I highly recommend every piece in this outfit!

These hem ankle jeans and leopard mules were Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases. I knew they were going to get a workout in my closet and I was right. I think the mules look best with these cutoff jeans but I wear them multiple times a week to work with black ankle pants and colored skinny jeans. These jeans are my current favorites. The fit is perfect and I find myself wearing them on the weekends all the time! And as for this tunic…you’ve seen it before and it’s a favorite all over the blogosphere. It’s the perfect length to wear over leggings or tucked into work pants or jeans. It comes in multiple colors and, though you do need to dry clean, it’s a great outfit basic.
